Each pod has a glass roof for star gazing and a bed with wheels to move out of the sun. Units include a private bathroom with hot tub, a fireplace, and either a kitchenette (microwave, fridge, hob) or just a fridge. Some pods have a fully equipped kitchen. The rooms are modern and clean, with comfortable beds and mountain views from the bed.

There is no restaurant on site. Each pod has a small kitchen with a hob, microwave, and fridge. Guests can cook their own meals or use the outdoor braai (barbecue). Wood and firelighters for the braai and hot tub are not included but can be bought in advance - about £15. Basic supplies like coffee and sugar are provided, but bring your own cooking oil, shower gel, and extra towels for the hot tub.

The wood-fired hot tub is the main feature. It takes a couple of hours to heat up, but guests can use it cold during hot days. The pods also have a private garden with outdoor seating, though the furniture is fixed and cannot be moved into shade. There is no pool or gym. The glass roof lets you watch stars from bed.

Little Acre Luxury Pods sits on a wine farm in a remote mountain setting, 13 km from Ceres Golf Club. It is 19 km from De Oude Kerk Museum Tulbagh and 40 km from Fonteintjiesberg Nature Reserve. Cape Town International Airport is 110 km away. The nearest town, Ceres, is a 15-20 minute drive. The road to the pods is a rough track. Activities nearby include wine tasting on the farm and hiking in the mountains.

The host provides arrival information and is responsive to issues. Check-in time is flexible (they let guests in an hour early). There is free parking on the property. The gate uses a manual combination lock, which can be tricky at night. Note that the air conditioning runs only at certain hours (not overnight) and the glass roof can make the pod very hot during summer. The pods are off-grid, so water and electricity may have occasional interruptions. Bring your own toiletries and consider paying for wood in advance.
